Marian Glasgow has been designing comfortable elegant rooms since 1987. Her rooms are warm and inviting, characterized by her use of color, light, texture and a cohesive refined quality. Marian's emphasis on working from a well articulated concept, with good communication, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction, has led to a business based primarily on referrals from current or past clients.
Services offered:
Residential interior design, from concept development and space planning through a realization of design objectives with window, floor and wall treatments, furnishings and fine art purchases. Work is by contract only.
Philosophy:
Houses become "homes" when a design professional can help clients define their personal style and the needs their houses must meet. Spaces must work well for the way they are used. Planning for an overall look and feel is essential to creating an appealing environment.
Awards/Achievements/Affiliations:
Luxury Living Award 2005, sponsored by Homeworks publications: winner of the gold in the Master Bedroom Suite category. Marian has been selected to design rooms for the Junior League of Boston Show Houses. Her work has appeared in numerous publications. Recently she completed a volunteer project designing and furnishing an apartment in a battered women's shelter. She is a member of IFDA (International Furnishings and Design Association), on their Community Service Committee which oversees the continual renovation and design maintenance at Boston's Ronald McDonald House.
